Jewell and I 2 Jewell and I 3 Jewell and I 4 Jewell and I 5 Jewell and I 6 Josie and Jewell 1Scripture: 2 Corinthians 4:13-18

13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.”14 We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. 15 All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

16 That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. 17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

Observation:

There are many things that I desired to pour into Jewell as she traveled with me over the last almost three months…of course not everything can be taught or caught within this time period. But I do believe she will return back to Canada a different woman than she came. Empowered to not just think, dream or pray… but to do the very works of Christ. Somethings I know she absolutely has learned are; our relationship with our heavenly father is everything, with out His presence we have no ability to do and to be the women that he has called us to be, ministry is an over flow of our relationship with Him, the reality of what living by faith looks like, stepping out when seems like there is no possible way to unless we just purely trust God, flexibility…having a plan, organizing but being able to bend like gumby, go until you can’t go any more and then some, confidence in sharing the Gospel, seeing light into the life of people, praying for the sick and truly seeing miracles happen right before her very own eyes,  ministry is not just in the pulpit but it is every day life. us ministers do not just pray and read the bible, but we have actual day to day lives; seeing the person and not just the minister, stepping into great confidence as a worship leader, learning Portuguese and most of all allowing the compassion of God that is on the inside of her compel her to be here and to help expand the kingdom of heaven. This verse above is perfect…we believe and therefore we speak…my bible says that out of the abundance my heart will speak. So what is in us will absolutely come out of us. When we live out what we believe it is the grace of God in our lives, upon our lives and through our lives to continue on the journey that He has set before us; to keep our eyes fixed not on what is seen, but on what is not seen…and that is what brings glory to the father.

Application:

When we keep our eyes fixed upon Him; on things that are eternal and not seen we chose to not be moved by what is seen. Jewell has not only learned from me, but I from here. She has walked with me for almost three months and has taught me things and poured into me as well. She is gentle, kind, soft, full of love, joy, motivated, not easily moved… she has helped keep me calm, been a strength and a support to my arms. I am forever grateful for her helping me to keep my eyes on Jesus, not to trust in man, but in God. She has been pillar, not even knowing it. She understands the love of God and it just pours out of her and people see it in her eyes. She believed and therefore she spoke and what she spoke came into existence. Faith speaks and then faith acts. By traveling with someone I have really learned to open up my life, be real, vulnerable..and to be me…good, bad, ugly, pretty, tired, full of energy…you name it…she saw it! Jesus was real with His disciples and so we are to be real with ours! 🙂

Prayer:

Father I am forever grateful for this incredible opportunity I have had to have Jewell, my “Timothy” walk with me over the last several months. Thank you for your Word that is not only words, but it is a life instruction book that teaches us who we are, what we have and what we can do. Thank you calling us your own and thank you for not calling us to work alone, but with the help of the sweet and precious Holy Spirit but also for your body! I thank you for the incredible time Jewell and I have had together and I believe God things have been birthed on the inside of her, an anointing caught, other things taught and most importantly instilling into as a single young woman she can do all that the Lord has called her to do. Because no matter what comes against us, He is for us. Our day to day life is temporary and circumstances are subject to change, but His word is not. Eternity is our focus and taking people out of the kingdom of heaven and then training them up is why we do what we do. Thank you Lord Jesus for calling us faithful and for anointing us to do the works that you have spoken to our heart!! I thank you Father for continuing to put dreams in Jewell’s heart for what is ahead and giving her clear direction for what is next!
